  • Mya Duncan

    PRESIDENT

    Mya is a senior at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in International Relations and Global Studies with minors in Applied Economics and Portuguese. She’s a member of Texas Darlins and the IRG Council, where she helps organize events and bring in professors to speak on global issues. Mya has worked in Brazil and Azerbaijan on microfinance and NGO projects, and is beginning research on women and minority representation in global democracies. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in international economic development.

  • Abigail Vandiver

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Abby is a sophomore from Houston, TX, studying International Relations and Global Studies on the International Security track with a focus on Latin America. She is also pursuing a minor in Spanish and a certificate through the Bridging Disciplines Program in Public Policy. She is interested in diplomacy, immigration policy, and public affairs. In her free time, she enjoys playing the NYT minigames, trying new breakfast spots, and attending concerts.

  • Sevinch Anvarova

    DIRECTOR OF CLIMATE ACTION AND COMMUNICATIONS

    Sevinch is a junior at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in International Relations and Global Studies, with minors in National Security and International Business. She grew up in Uzbekistan and is trilingual, speaking Uzbek, Russian, and English. She is also pursuing a certificate in Full Stack Development through the McCombs School of Business, which sparked her interest in the intersection of technology and security and led her to join the Cybersecurity Clinic. In her free time, she enjoys reading Russian literature and baking. Her academic and professional interests include cybersecurity, lawmaking, and diplomacy.

  • Keyana Agbo

    DIRECTOR OF QUALITY EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATIONS

    Keyana Agbo is a first year Government major pursuing a History Minor and serves on the Quality Education Committee. She is a part of Central Texas Model UN, Minority Woman Pursuing Law and, Project Yellow, a nonprofit in children's mental health. She is interested in international policy, history, and humanitarian efforts for minority populations. In her downtime, she enjoys writing, gardening, and research.

  • Maricela Marquez

    DIRECTOR OF PEACE, JUSTICE, & STRONG INSTITUTIONS

    Maricela is a junior at UT Austin and is studying Government. She loves reading, writing, and going on walks. Some of her interests include fashion, international politics, and watching movies!

  • Jaxon Forester

    DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

    Jaxon is currently a junior studying international relations and sustainability studies, with a minor in international business at UT. He is originally from Dallas, specifically Allen Texas, and fun fact, his graduating class in highschool was over 1,600 students. 

  • Eva Yakubov

    Eva is a junior international relations major minoring in Russian and pursuing a track in international security and Russian, East European, and Eurasian studies. She is also a part of the Texas Journal of International Affairs and the International Relations Council at UT Austin. She is interested in international development including the fight to counter information threats and in turn, upholding efforts to create more just institutions. Eva looks forward to being a part of UNYP and supporting the UN’s sustainable development goals! 

  • Marissa Ambat

    Marissa is a junior IRG and English double major. She is in the Liberal Arts Honors program and is an undergraduate research fellow for the Innovations, Peace, and Development Lab. On campus, she is also a part of the IRG Council, Texas Undergraduate Law Journal, and Texas Darlins. She also TA’s an honors writing class. Off campus she is an intern for the Borgen Project. Upon graduation, she hopes to attend law school and pursue her interests in human rights policy, international law, and corporate law.

  • Deval Vazir

    Deval is a freshman at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in International Relations. She serves on the Quality Education Committee with UNYP and is a Jefferson Scholar as well as an active member of the International Affairs Society. Passionate about advocacy, politics, and cultural understanding, she hopes to contribute to global initiatives that promote equity. In her free time, she enjoys journaling, solving puzzles, and traveling

  • Mysha Qureshi

    Mysha is a sophomore Health & Society and Government double major with a minor in Urdu. She recently finished working at the Texas Capitol for the 89th legislative session as a Legislative Aide with Dr. Suleman Lalani. On campus, she is the Social Media & Marketing Lead for the Mental Health Initiative for South Asians, member of the Policy Prescription podcast, as well as a member of Minority Women Pursuing Law. Off campus, she’s an intern with the Texas Exes Alumni Association and with the United Nations Association Houston chapter. After graduation, she hopes to attend law school and pursue her interests in international and healthcare law and policy.

  • Tamana Paykar

    Tamana is a junior Economics and Finance major. She is actively involved as a Youth Ambassador for the United Nations Association of the USA, where she advocates for global cooperation and sustainable development initiatives. Previously, she interned at an investment bank, gaining hands-on experience in financial analysis and client relations. Tamana hopes to continue her career in banking and later pursue a law degree to combine her interests in international law, diplomacy, and global economic policy.

  • Juliet Ramos

    Juliet is a freshman majoring in International Relations & Global Studies and Government. On campus, she is involved in the IRG Council, Minority Women Pursuing Law, and UNYP. She is passionate about advocacy, community engagement, and amplifying underrepresented voices. After graduation, she hopes to attend law school to pursue work in human rights and international law. Her commitment to helping others drives Juliet and ultimately hopes to create her own nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to legal and humanitarian support.
